MOUNT BROMO
Mount Bromo is an active vulcano and part of Tengger Massif in East Java, Indonesia. At 2.329 metres it is not the higest peak of the massif but the massif area is one of the most visited tourist in East Java,Indonesia. the name of Bromo derived from Javanesse pronunciation of BRAHMA, the Hindu Creator god.
Mount Bromo stands in the middle of sea of sand ( lautan pasir : indonesia ). the origin of peoples who live in Mount Bromo area called ” TENGGER ” Derived from the couple ” RARA ANTENG & JAKA SEGER “.
DIRECTIONS
From Surabaya Airport or Surabaya Train station or Surbaya Bus station is about 3 hours driving to Probolinggo city, there is 2 option to reach to Bromo ; from Probolinggo Bus station take a public bus ( middle,blue or green bus ) IDR. 35.000 – 45.000 / person or shuttle Bus ( join with Travel Agency in the bus station area ) IDR 60.000 – 75.000 / person.
